ENGLAND ATHLETICS REGISTRATION. Members and New Members: If you have not paid your Club membership, please note that it is due on 1st April each year and should be paid by 1st June at the very latest.
Additionally 1st Claim Members of B&MH AC are advised that England Athletics have informed clubs that Athlete Registrations for athletes that are already registered with them must be completed and paid for by 30th June each year. The club can only complete this activity if you have paid your club membership fee for 2012/13, as this is confirmation to the Club of your requirements.  England Athletics states that  ‘a URN (User Registration Number) checker is now in use by a number of race / competition organisers,  For the purposes of the ‘checker’, an athlete’s status from the previous season will carry forward until 30th June i.e. if they were registered in 2011-12, but are currently shown as ‘registration pending’, they can still enter as a registered athlete until 30th June 2012, after which time their current  status will apply.’  
Although not specified exactly the Club assesses that these race/competition organisers would most likely relate to higher level events  e.g. any UKA or England Athletics related Championships and similar events but it could also filter down to Regional level and may well relate to some of the main road races etc. The Club will still be ‘allowed to register both new and existing athletes after 30th June each year, and it is only the process of entering events that may cause difficulties if an athlete is late paying their club.’  In order to be registered by their deadline, please ensure that you pay your fees promptly to allow us to submit the payment to England Athletics in good time. 
Also please do not forget that it is your personal responsibility to log into the England Athletics database, using the URN and password they provide to you in order to check/update your contact details. There is guidance on how to access the database published on the England Athletics Website.

 This action should prevent your competition license being sent to an incorrect address.  At the same time you can also elect to provide your email address and phone number(s) and to choose the type of information (if any) that they may send to you
.For the purpose of your initial registration only, the Club provides the following details:
First Name, Surname, Gender, Date of Birth, Address, Competitive Region.
When completing your initial registration (applicable to all 1st claim members over 10 years of age) we do not release any email addresses or telephone phone numbers, that choice is left entirely as a personal decision for each member (or parent of junior member) once they log into their own records.

If your contact details change after you have renewed your Club membership, please also notify membsecretary@bmhac.co.uk of the new details so that the Club’s membership database can be amended.
