Basingstoke & Mid Hants AC AGM 2012

Dear Members of Basingstoke and Mid Hants Athletic Club (BMHAC)

On behalf of the Committee of BMHAC I would like to invite you to attend the AGM which will take place on Wednesday 29th February 2012 at the Hockey Club (upstairs bar), Down Grange, Basingstoke at 7.30pm.

This is your opportunity to find out more about your club and the success that it is having, have your voice heard, vote on issues raised and perhaps become more involved in the activities of the club over and above the actual competing or supporting of children.

The agenda includes the Elections of Officers, Office Holders and Post Holders to the Committee. We currently have a number of vacancies but only three are committee posts Honorary/General Secretary, Vice Chairman and Cross Country Secretary. See the links below for a description of the roles.

Committee reports will be posted by Wednesday 15th February (except the Treasurers report which is only made available at the AGM).  

Rule changes proposed are as follows:   

6f.    The minimum age for attending Club training sessions and/or joining the Club shall be 7 years, rising 8 (i.e. must be in School Year 3).

This is a change from the previous minimum age of 8.

The Committee also propose for approval at the AGM a small increase in the membership fee. This is due to both rising costs imposed by the Council in 2012 as well as an increase in team travel costs.

The increases are proposed as follows:

·        Increase junior, U11 and senior by £2
·        Increase road runners by £1
·        Increase 2nd claim, student and senior citizen by £1.50
·        Increase family by £3

If you would like to propose something for voting on at the meeting, or have any objections to rule and membership changes please email me. If making a proposal this should have a proposer and seconder. These points will then be added to the agenda on the final notification 14 days (15th Feb) prior to the AGM (in accordance with the club rules).  

If you would like to stand or nominate someone for a club post then please provide both a proposer and seconder in your email.
