Andy Blow got the day off to a good start with a 50.9s clocking in the 400m Hurdles, another Club record and Personal best to win in convincing style. Richard Fox followed this up to win the B event in another PB of 52.9s.

Good performances were notched up thoughout the afternoon, these included another fine set of performances from Ben Hazell culminating in a best in the Discus with a PB of 46.99m for 2nd in the A string.  Other Basingstoke athletes performing well were 400m Mark Berridge 3rd A 49.0s & Louis Sellers 2nd B 48.9s. In the B 1500m Ben Moreau produced a fast last lap to place 2nd in 3m55.0s and John Hutchins placed likewise in the A 5000m in 14m 49.1s having adopted a front running policy. On the Field Simon Williams scored 2nd placings in both the B Shot and Discus with 12.58m and 43.09, respectively.

The Relays proved to be good points earners with the 2nd place in the 4 X 400m in 3m16.3s and 5th in the 4 X 100m with 43.4s to consolidate the Clubs position.
