Basingstoke & Mid Hants AC finished off a great weekend of athletics at Portsmouth's Mountbatten Stadium with a haul of 19 Golds, 13 Silvers and 13 Bronze medals from the Hampshire Athletic Championships. Over a weekend which was cool, breezy with some sunshine, Basingstoke's Athletes were in great form.

 

Highlights

 

Becky Curtis-Harris won 4 Golds with victories in the U17 100m, 200m, 80m Hurdles & Long Jump

 

Sam Sleap who celebrated his 18th birthday on Saturday, won 3 Golds in the 110m H, High Jump, Pole Vault and 1 Bronze in the Javelin.

 

Kiera Barker in the U13 age group took home 5 medals, Golds in the 70m H & High Jump, Silvers in the 100m & 200m and a Bronze in the Long Jump    

 

Tanisha Clayton double Gold in the 100m & 75m H

 

Golds for Senior Men, Mark Berridge 400m, Louis Sellers 800m, Phil Tulba 1500m, John Dickinson Pole Vault, Steve Sammut Hammer & John Elderfield Triple Jump

 

There was a host of other good performances and PBs from other athletes from the Club in action
