Let's Get The Club On Track Campaign |
Club Members: Could you do a Sponsored event this Diamond Jubilee year to raise funds for the track upgrade? How about some of the junior members raising sponsorship while taking part in the Club Jubilee Relays on July 6th. The Club welcomes all participants both young and old and is always on the lookout for the new talent of the future. So if you just want to get fit, participate in an active sport or think you have what it takes to be a future champion come and join us.
The main club training sessions are every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at the Down Grange track.
Last year (2007) has been the most successful for the club with the senior mens team being promoted to Division 2 of the British Athletics League (BAL). Now one of the top 24 clubs in the country. Can they make it into Division 1 in 2008?
The club has a well established coaching team and boasts some international athletes competing for their country. It also has a number of nationally recognized officials who you will see at a number of the local and national meetings making sure all goes smoothly.
